Established in 1924, Hayford & Rhodes is the hallmark of high quality, luxurious flowers. Founder William Hayford built an enviable reputation as one of London’s finest florists, before handing the reins to the Rhodes sisters in 2007 − thus, Hayford & Rhodes was born. The company’s style is uniquely inspired by its heritage, uniting timeless design with progressive florists to create modern classics that instantly become the centrepiece of any room.
Over 80 years of rich history began when William Hayford started buying fruit and flowers from the original Covent Garden Market and retailing them to Londoners. Within a couple of years he had opened two shops in the city centre and established himself as a respected florist. Amy, Laura and Joanna Rhodes took over the business in 2007 after making a pact to open a family florist together. The sisters have since created a stir in the florist industry, winning the Innovation Award for Chelsea in Bloom at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. Aside from creating incredible same-day bouquets and personal home flowers, the company also runs a floristry school for those seeking to learn the art or experience first-hand how to make a hand-tied bridal bouquet. The classes, led by Joanna, take participants on a floral journey where they learn colours, styles and trends stem by stem, and can be tailored to businesses for corporate events and networking. Owner and Managing Director Joanna has set her sights on expanding the company across all revenue streams, including weddings, events and online bouquets, as well as weekly flowers for private venues and ever-growing seasonal flowers. Today, Hayford & Rhodes supplies flowers to over 70 high-end venues such as St James’ Hotel, The Orangery at Kensington Palace and Hay Hill, London.
